Why should you take a self-defence course?

Others have already experienced an assault and want to learn how to defend themselves.
Finally, there are women who want to learn to defend themselves without having experienced an aggression, but attend classes “just in case”.
How does self-defence work?
Self-defence is based on martial arts or combat sports techniques, but is not itself a martial art.
However, it can be considered a sport in its own right as it is physically and mentally demanding to learn.
Under what circumstances should self-defence be used?
The aim of self-defence is to stop the attack as quickly as possible.
The response must be proportionate to the attack and it is only self-defence if you are attacked first.
